The reason we chose this topic is because we realized that many Primary School students in Singapore are suffering from myopia. After further research, we found out that 60% (compared to Hong Kong : 20%) of the Primary School children have myopia and it certainly alarmed us. This made us conclude that the methods of prevention now are probably not working well and need much improvement. Therefore our research on better ways to prevent myopia is set out for the future generation, so that they do not suffer from this impairment like our generation did.
